I had a haircut here two days ago, I had really long hair and asked the hair dresser to give me a simple but nice cut that can maintain its shape 4-5 five months from now when my hair grows longer. After shampooing, he stopped cutting in 15 mins and thought the job was done, at that point he merely just cut my hair short, I had to show him photos of my prior cut to remind him that I wanted a layered cut, this process continued 3 times, i.e., he stopped and thought it’s done and I urged him to continue as it’s not enough….the hair dresser has the skills, no doubt of it, but the professionalism is lacking, no matter a visitor or a local resident, for the price they are charging which is equivalent to my hairdresser in California, I expect them to achieve the best results by their own standards, not just the attitude of getting the job done. This is such a contrast vs my experience in Japan where I also had a haircut during my visit there.
